In China they have invented an antipod of raincoat-invisible being
The command of the Chinese scientists has declared that they managed to turn the effect of invisibility created by special materials. The object, which are closed by such material, becomes invisible to the observer as the material structure changes ways of rays of light.
However if instead of object for a material creating invisibility, the observer will be placed, he cannot see the subjects which are on other party of a material. In the press release researchers notice that they managed to develop the technology "destroying" this effect. The article with the detailed description of workings out of scientists is accepted to the publication in magazine Optics Express.
Now the idea of invisibility is rather popular in scientific community. Its realisation became possible thanks to metamaterials - the materials which properties are defined by features of a structure, instead of a chemical compound. Some of the metamaterials, which are created recently, possess a negative indicator of refraction. Light in such material extends so that the direction of phase speed of an electromagnetic wave appears opposite to a direction of its distribution. The superlenses, which are designed from materials with a negative indicator of refraction, make that an object, which is for them (or even near to them) will be invisible.
Similar superlenses don't have "underside". That is, from both parties the material is an insuperable barrier to light. The Chinese scientists have developed a principle of a material which can turn this effect. "The raincoat-invisible being" material forces light to bend around object, however if it (material) adjoins to "anti-raincoat-invisible being" a part of light waves to be reflected from an antipode and will reach the observer.
Thus, the observer being behind "raincoat-invisible being" can turn effect in a place of contact of "raincoats". While workings out of the Chinese researchers are only theoretical (unlike "raincoat-invisible being"). It is interesting that till now other groups of scientists did not declare works on overcoming of effect of invisibility.
